The goals of this project are to add instream structural complexity and diversity for listed salmonids in the upper Entiat River, WA. This work will complement the work that was completed in 2012 and will add additional habitat as well as increasing the riparian footprint at these locations.
The plan of this project is to add additional complexity to an existing Engineered Log Structure (ELS) #2 that was completed in 2012 as well as add some additional complexity and diversity instream at several locations downstream of existing ELS #3. The in-water work window for this project is July 16th - July 31st.
The rationale for doing this project is to address the ecological concerns for this stretch of the Entiat River as defined by the Regional Technical Team or RTT. Those concerns were to add instream structural complexity and diversity in the form of wood structures.
